I have been interested in having my own business ever since I was little. I started several ‘businesses’ growing up. Everything from writing a neighborhood newsletter and selling it to our neighbors when I was in elementary school to babysitting in middle school. (Seriously though, the Babysitters Club defined #SquadGoals for me back in the day.) I got my first real job when I was 15 and while I liked working (and really liked payday) I knew early on that I wanted to work for myself. So it’s not a big surprise to anyone that I grew up and did just that!

I’ve been looking for a new side hustle for a while. Something that I could tie into my existing websites and then it dawned on me. I didn’t need a new hustle. I needed to go back to a hustle I first had when I was 18 years old! I can finally say again, “I sell Avon!”
I first started my Avon journey when I was 18. (We won’t talk about how long ago that actually was!) I sold it for a few months, but not really to make money, but rather just get my make-up for free! When I was about 21 I started back up again. I actually tried and what do you know? I did pretty well! I had a small team of wonderful ladies under me, earned a few bonus checks and had some great loyal customers. I honestly regret stopping, but life happens right?
Now, I’m signed back up again. You know something is great when you come back for a third time!
Why did you choose to sign up to sell Avon? I sell Avon because…
- It’s inexpensive. If you want to start selling Avon you can sign up online and your starter kit is in the mail to you! They have three kits to choose from with the most inexpensive costing only $25. Honestly, even if you never take a single sale from anyone it’s still worth signing up to become an Avon representative! For $25 you receive not only your books and sales tools, but you also receive 4 products!
- I have been a fan of Avon cosmetics since I was a teenager. Then, I fell in love with their skincare line. (The under eye cream is a lifesaver for me!) But Avon has so much more than makeup and skincare products! They also sell clothes and accessories. I still have a dress and several handbags that I ordered over 10 years ago! And yes, I still wear them often! They also have some really adorable items for your house and gifts for everyone in your family! Even though I loved Avon products from when I signed up when I was 18, they have also brought in so many new great products and departments. And they have kept some of their classic favorites still around! So wonderful!
- Avon has been around for over 100 years. Companies don’t stay around for that long unless they are doing something correct. There have been direct sales companies that have come and go but Avon is still here – thriving. In fact, they have over 16 million Facebook fans – more than any other direct sales company! Avon isn’t a fad and it will be around for the years to come.
I’m so excited about this journey. I’m literally just begging to go screaming from the rooftops “I sell Avon!” I can’t wait to share with you some of my favorite products, fashion items and if you are interested how to start and grow your own Avon business!
